(Juneau) Due to an overwhelming response from county residents, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting an additional session of it’s Landlord/Eviction Training course. With the help of former Wisconsin Apartment Association president Dale Hicks, and Janesville Police Officer Chad Sullivan, this eight-hour training course will aim to clear up misconceptions related to the business of being a landlord. Topics to be discussed will include, landlord and tenants’ rights and responsibilities, processes to keep illegal activity out of rentals, how to conduct a proper screening of tenants, fair housing laws, credit reports, HUD services, and comfort/ service animals. The seminar is scheduled for Tuesday December 1st from 8 am till 430pm at the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office EOC Training room with lunch being provided. Those wishing to attend must register in advance by filling out a registration form and paying a $25 fee. Registration forms will be available at the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office. Registration is limited to 50 people.
