(Beaver Dam) Several Dodge County nonprofits were recently awarded grants through the Alliant Energy Foundation. A total of 38 Wisconsin nonprofits, including 11 organizations in Dodge County, are splitting a total $76,590. The money will fund projects in four key areas: helping families, education, environment and public safety. Executive Director of the Alliant Energy Foundation Julie Bauer says they know their nonprofit partners need support now more than ever. She says in partnership with these organizations, they are supporting their customers and the communities they serve in creative ways and helping to make life better for others. Nonprofits in Dodge County receiving grant money include the New Beginnings Homeless Shelter; Green Valley Enterprises’ Birth to 3 program; the Dodge County Food Pantry; Brownsville Fire Company’s Thermal imaging camera upgrade program, Fox Lake’s Living Hope Food Pantry; Professional Dairy Producers Foundation in Juneau; Mayville Public Library’s Summer Reading program; Mayville Open Door, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Mayville; Waupun’s Power of One Agriculture Education Foundation and Waupun Area Robotics. Alliant Energy has awarded nearly $550-thousand-dollars during the spring grant cycle.
