Driver Injured After Vehicle Vaulted, Overturned In Herman Township

(Herman) One person was injured following a single vehicle crash in the Township of Herman Saturday afternoon. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to the motor vehicle crash on Highway 33 just east of Idaho Road around 2:20pm. The initial investigation showed that a Jeep was traveling east on 33 and was approaching a curve on the left. The vehicle failed to negotiate the curve and went off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment, vaulted and overturned. Authorities say at the time of writing the press release, it was believed the 60-year-old driver had suffered life-threatening injuries but it was later found that his injuries were not as serious as originally thought. The motorist, and sole occupant of the jeep, was transported to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa. The crash remains under investigation. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Allenton Fire and EMS, and the Dodge County Highway Department.
