Downtown Beaver Dam Organizations Hoping To Collaborate

(Beaver Dam) Two long standing organizations are hoping to collaborate with other groups in the downtown Beaver Dam area. David Saniter with Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre says Beaver Dam native Drew Nussbaum of Travel Wisconsin and Kraig Kasten of the Dodge County Center for the Arts recently discussed the matter. Saniter says through their conversation the idea came up to partner with several organizations during an upcoming theatre production. He says their play will focus on female pilots during World War II, in conjunction, the Historical Society has lots of displays of that era and could put together a special exhibit as well as the Dodge County Center for the Arts. Kraig Kasten says collaboration works as a great way to cross-promote what each organization does and brings the community closer together. During a recent appearance on WBEV’s Community Comment, Kasten pointed out with their recent move into the downtown most organizations are within walking distance. He says the future goal would be to establish a cultural district. Kasten says he encourages anyone from the community or other local organizations who would be interested collaborating to reach out to him at 920-341-6278.
