(Columbia County) The state of Wisconsin has revoked the dealer license for a wholesaler in Columbia County for selling a dealer plate. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation Division of Motor Vehicles issued the order against Lorenzo Lamas Auto Sales for offering a dealer plate to another individual.
The decision to revoke was upheld by a state transportation hearing in December. Dealers are given 30 days to appeal a revocation to the state Division of Hearing and Appeals. Officials say Lorenzo Lamas Auto Sales did not appeal and the decision is final. The business is located at 101 Skyline Drive in Arlington.
DOT Dealer and Agent Section licenses, regulates, and resolves disputes about dealership sales and warranty repairs. It also investigates complaints about odometer tampering and title fraud involving dealerships and private sellers.
