(Lomira) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is holding a public informational meeting later this month to discuss the proposed rehabilitation of several overpasses near Lomira. The project includes bridge polymer overlays and minor repairs to the State Highway 28 and Soo Road structures over Interstate 41. The polymer overlay enhances the safety and durability of a bridge deck by waterproofing and increasing traction. The treatment also helps to resist damages incidental to winter maintenance. Work is slated for 2025 but could occur as early as 2021. Maps showing the proposed improvements will be on display. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project and address questions or concerns. The meeting will be held from 5:30pm to 7pm on Thursday, November 14 at the Lomira Town Hall.
If you are unable to attend the meetings, or would like more information, contact Jim Buschkopf at (608) 884-7133. Written comments regarding the project can be mailed to Jim Buschkopf, 111 Interstate Blvd., Edgerton, WI 53534. Citizens who are hearing-impaired and require an interpreter may request one by contacting Jim Buschkopf at least three working days prior to the meeting via the Wisconsin Telecommunications Relay System (dial 711).
