DOT Holding Public Meeting In Cambria For Highway 146 Project

(Cambria) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is holding a public meeting Wednesday night to discuss improvements to Highway 146 in Columbia County. The project will address 13 miles of deteriorating pavement on 146 between Highway 16 and 33.

Work will consist of resurfacing the roadway, adding shoulder rumble strips, new curb ramps, and replacing 13 cross culverts. Transportation officials say 146 will be closed to through traffic during construction.

The meeting starts at 5:30pm and goes until seven at the Cambria Community Room located on 115 West Edgewater Street. Officials say the objective of this meeting is to familiarize the public with the purpose and need for this project and to obtain input on the proposed improvements. They add that adjacent property owners are encouraged to attend.
