Dodgeland Boys Basketball On Holiday Hot Streak

The Dodgeland High School boys basketball teams rides a three game win streak into the holiday break.  After not playing much basketball this offseason because of coronavirus, it took the Trojans a few weeks to find their basketball legs.  After dropping their first three contests to some stiff competition, Dodgeland picked up wins over Horicon, Johnson Creek, and Waterloo.

“We are right now where we think we should be, being 3-3. We had some tough games early on.” Head Coach Bill Otte told DailyDodge.com.  “We had to go up to Oshkosh Lourdes early in the season, but the goal is to be better every time we go out on the court. Especially these last three games, we have definitely seen some big improvement from the players themselves.”

The Trojan’s bring back a nice group of players from last year’s squad.   Senior Sy Otte is averaging 21 points and 13 rebounds per game through the first six games this season.  Senior Dilan Fenner  (5p, 3a) also is back in the starting lineup.  Three juniors; Caden Brugger (14ppg), Jace Christopherson (8ppg), and John Appenfelldt (6p, 7r) round out his starting lineup with senior big man Alex Nelson (7p, 6r) also playing a big role.   Otte also says he has a good group of kids getting their feet wet at the varsity level including junior Tristan Hahn.

The Trojans will take the holiday break off and are next in action on January 5th when they host Deerfield.
