Dodge County Vehicle Sales Behind Regional Numbers

(Dodge County) Vehicle sales in Dodge County through July have continued to lag behind regional numbers.

According to the Waterloo-based, auto industry tracking firm Reg-Trak, 1,651 vehicles rolled off dealer lots through July in Dodge County, a drop of nearly seven-percent. Columbia County, there were 1,351 vehicles sold this year, up 12-percent from last year. The number of trucks bought in 2023 increased by 12-percent also with 1,208 sold. Car sales jumped from 132 to 143 this year, an increase of over eight-percent. One-thousand-five-hundred-and-three (1,503) vehicles rolled off dealer lots in

Jefferson County through the first seven months of 2023, a nearly 24-percent jump from a year ago. Car sales improved by 30-percent, with 189 sold. Truck sales saw a 23-percent jump with 1,314 purchased.

The nine-county, south central Wisconsin region as a whole saw 23-thousand vehicle sales, an increase of 13-percent over last year. Overall truck sales in 2023 were up 12-percent while car sales increased by 19-percent.
