(Dodge County) One day after Dodge County reported its seventh COVID-19 death the county has its eight death on record. Dodge County now has 1,370 cases, increase of 22 from Thursday. County health officials are actively monitoring 203 people while 822 have recovered.
Wisconsin health officials are reporting 1,369 positive coronavirus case in Friday’s daily update, which is 13.8-percent of the 9,900 tests announced. There are 9,157 active cases in the state, an increase of 321 from Thursday. Active cases make up 10.6-percent of the 86-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 75-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded four deaths Friday, for a total of 1,197. Deaths accounted for 1.4-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 7.3-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 191-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 911-thousand.
Washington County has experienced 31 deaths along with 1,880 cases to date.
Fond du Lac County has reported 12 deaths and 1,380 positive tests.
Jefferson County has reported seven deaths and 1,032 cases.
There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 413 cases.
Green Lake County now has 122 cases.
