Dodge County Tornado Sirens Accidentally Sounded One Day Before Statewide Drill

(Juneau) Tornado sirens blared throughout Dodge County Wednesday night, exactly 24-hours to the minute before tonight’s statewide tornado drill. Sheriff Dale Schmidt issued a notification a few minutes later apologizing for the mistake. He says the sirens were inadvertently set off one day early. Schmidt added that the public is extra lucky to benefit from an additional drill because (quote) “you can never practice important lifesaving skills too much.” The sirens will still be sounded off again Thursday night at 6:45pm and Thursday afternoon at 1:45pm.
