Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Addresses Motorcycle Safety

(Dodge County) Summer is here and along with beautiful weather comes an increase of motorcyclists on the roads.  With the joy and thrill of the ride comes some inherent dangers and Captain Chad Enright of the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has some tips to keep people safe while enjoying their time on the road. He says those who ride should wear a helmet, adding that far too many avoidable tragedies could have been prevented with the use of a helmet. Enright says riders should utilize their bike’s headlights at all times to maximize visibility day or night.  Other tips include slowing down and for those not on motorcycles, take an extra second at stop signs to check for oncoming riders and use caution when passing or changing lanes.
