Dodge County Sheriff Raising Money For Harvey Police Victims

9/7/17 – Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt is taking part of a statewide effort to raise money for law enforcement in the Houston area. The Badger State Sheriffsโ€™ Association is asking every Wisconsin sheriff and each of their employees to participate in the โ€œSheriffs Adopting Sheriffsโ€ Hurricane Harvey Assistance program. Each of Wisconsinโ€™s 72 sheriffโ€™s offices has the opportunity to assist sheriffโ€™s office employees in Texas who worked to provide lifesaving assistance to area residents while their individual family and property suffered a major loss. The intent is to provide direct financial assistance to sheriffโ€™s employees in Texas who suffered personal devastating losses as a result of Hurricane Harvey. The goal is to raise $10,000 for each โ€œadoptedโ€ sheriffโ€™s employee by October 1. Every dollar raised will go directly to Texas law enforcement families in need. Checks can be made out to the Dodge County Law Enforcement Association.
