Dodge County Reports Twenty Fourth Coronavirus Death

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 3,413 positive coronavirus cases in Thursday’s daily update. There are 38,852 active cases in the state, an increase of 367 from Wednesday. Active cases make up 20.9-percent of the 186-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 145-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded 22 deaths, bringing that total to 1,703. Deaths accounted for point-nine-percent of cases in Wisconsin while 5.3-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide the CDC says 221-thousand were from the United States.

For the second consecutive day Dodge County recorded another COVID-19 related death for a total of 24 and 3,379 cases, an increase of 99 from Wednesday. The county had 170 negative tests returned for a running total of 27,441. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 954 people while 1,891 have recovered.

Washington County has now experienced 43 deaths and 4,044 cases, there are currently 810 active cases.

Fond du Lac County has 3,835 positive tests on record, with 1,199 being active cases, and 19 deaths.

Jefferson County has reported 10 deaths and 2,380 cases to date, 521 are active cases.

There have now been five deaths in Columbia County where there have been 1,575 total cases, currently the county has 543 active cases.

Green Lake County has two deaths and has 653 cases on record, 250 were reported in the last two weeks.
