Dodge County Records Seventh COVID-19 Death

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 1,547 positive coronavirus cases in Thursday’s daily update, which is 17.5-percent of the 8,800 tests announced. There are 8,836 active cases in the state, an increase of 667 from Wednesday. Active cases make up 10.4-percent of the 84-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 74-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded 10 deaths Thursday, for a total of 1,193. Deaths accounted for 1.4-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 7.3-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 190-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 905-thousand.

Dodge County has now recorded its seventh death along with 1,348 cases, an increase of 22 from Wednesday. The county had 139 negative tests returned for a running total of 20,215. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 189 people while 815 have recovered.

Washington County has now experienced 31 deaths along with 1,844 cases to date.

Fond du Lac County has reported 12 deaths and 1,340 positive tests.

Jefferson County has reported seven deaths and 1,026 cases.

There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 411 cases.

Green Lake County now has 115 cases.
