(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 2,367 positive coronavirus cases in Tuesday’s daily update, which is 22-percent of the 10,700 tests announced. There are 20,252 active cases in the state, an increase of 692 from Monday. Active cases make up 16.9-percent of the 119-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 98-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded 17 deaths Tuesday, for a total of 1,300. Deaths accounted for 1.1-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 6-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 204-thousand deaths while the worldwide death is widely reported to be over 1-million.
Dodge County now has 17 deaths on record and 1,931 cases, an increase of 47 from Monday. The county had 14 negative tests returned for a running total of 23,085. Health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 426 people while 1,098 have recovered.
Washington County has experienced 32 deaths along 2,662 cases.
Fond du Lac County has 2,171 positive tests on record along with 14 deaths.
Jefferson County is reporting eight deaths and 1,486 cases to date.
There have now been three deaths in Columbia County where there have been 657 cases.
Green Lake County now has 296 cases.
