Dodge County Records Four COVID-19 Deaths Wednesday

(Dodge County) Dodge County reported four COVID-19 related deaths Wednesday. The county now has a total of 14 deaths on record along with 1,677 cases, an increase of 24 from Tuesday. The running total of negative tests increased to 22,075 with 207 returned Wednesday. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 302 people while 992 have recovered.

Wisconsin health officials are reporting 1,762 positive coronavirus cases in Wednesday’s daily update, which is 13.1-percent of the 13,400 tests announced. There are 15,262 active cases in the state, an increase of 492 from Tuesday. Active cases make up 14.4-percent of the 105-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 89-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded eight deaths, for a total of 1,259. Deaths accounted for 1.2-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 6.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 200-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 973-thousand.

Washington County has experienced 32 deaths along 2,380 cases.

Fond du Lac County has 1,840 positive tests on record along with 13 deaths.

Jefferson County is now reporting eight deaths and 1,278 cases to date.

There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 549 cases.

Green Lake County now has 215 cases.
