(Juneau) The weekly percentage of positive COVID-19 tests in Dodge County was near 50-percent, according to the latest update from the Dodge County Health Department. From October 26th through November 1st, county health officials say 47.4-percent of all tests administered were positive; the previous week it was 34.8-percent.
The daily percentage of positive tests, which has been on the rise for over two months and jumped to “of concern” last month, is currently at 14.8-percent. County health officials say the goal is five-percent along with a downward trajectory of cases.
Dodge County remains in phase one of its three phase Safe Restart Plan. Three metrics: the number of cases, hospital care and contact tracing are in the red; while testing and PPE are in the green.
Recommendations under phase one of the plan include limiting capacity in non-essential businesses, bars, restaurants and organizations to 25-percent while private, indoor social gatherings should be limited to ten people or less while maintaining physical distancing and wearing a mask.
