(Dodge County) Positive tests in Dodge County jumped over a percent higher than last week, according to the latest update from the Dodge County Health Department. From September 21st through the 27th, county health officials say 17.6-percent of all tests administered were positive; the previous week it was 16.2-percent.
The daily percentage of positive tests continues to climb upward and is currently at 7.7-percent. County health officials say the goal is a percentage lower than five along with a downward trajectory of positive tests.
The county also recorded its highest single week death count at seven. Of the 210 people who tested positive last week, 60 reported attending a large gathering, party or meeting with people from outside their home.
Dodge County remains in phase one of its three phase Safe Restart Plan. The cases metric is in the red while hospitals and contact tracing is in the yellow. The only metrics in the green are PPE and testing. Recommendations under the plan include limiting capacity in non-essential businesses, bars, restaurants and organizations to 25-percent while private, indoor social gatherings should be limited to ten people or less while maintaining physical distancing and wearing a mask.
