(Dodge County) The percentage of positive tests in Dodge County remains above 16-percent for the second straight week, according to the latest update from the Dodge County Health Department. From September 14th through the 20th, county health officials say 16.2-percent of all tests administered were positive; the previous week it was 16.9-percent.
The daily percentage of positive tests has been on the rise for over a month and is currently at 7-percent. County health officials say the goal is a percentage lower than five along with a downward trajectory of positive tests.
Of the 158 people who tested positive las week, 40 reported attending a large gathering, party or meeting with people from outside their home. Eleven people were admitted to the hospital.
Last week, Dodge County reverted back to phase one of its three phase Safe Restart Plan. The cases metric is in the red while hospitals and contact tracing is in the yellow. The only metrics in the green are PPE and testing. Recommendations under the plan include limiting capacity in non-essential businesses, bars, restaurants and organizations to 25-percent while private, indoor social gatherings should be limited to ten people or less while maintaining physical distancing and wearing a mask.
