(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials reported 880 positive cases of coronavirus in Friday’s daily update, which is 6.6-percent of the 12,500 tests announced. There are 8,411 active cases in the state, up 175 from Thursday. Active cases make up just under 21-percent of the 40-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been over 30-thousand recoveries. State health officials recorded two more deaths yesterday, bringing that number to 833. Deaths accounted for 2.1-percent of all cases in Wisconsin, while 10-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized.
Dodge County has five deaths on record and 557 cases, an increase of 16 from Thursday. The county had 259 negative tests returned for a running total of 13,028. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 53 people while 262 have recovered.
Washington County has 19 deaths on record along with 535 positive cases.
Fond du Lac County has six deaths to date and 418 positive tests.
Jefferson County has four deaths and 405 cases.
There has been one death in Columbia County where there have been 141 positive cases.
Green Lake County has 44 cases.
