Dodge County Prisons See Jump In COVID-19 Cases

(Dodge County) Several Dodge County prisons have seen a jump in coronavirus cases, according to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Over the last week, Dodge Correctional saw an increase of 96 positive cases among inmates and that number now stands at 503. There are currently 243 active cases while 259 have recovered. The facility has had 102 staff members with COVID-19. The Wisconsin National Guard collected over 1,400 specimens during site-based testing at Dodge Correctional last week. This Thursday and Friday, the state guard will be at nearby Waupun Correctional where 681 inmates have tested positive – up 24 from a week age – with 81 active cases and 599 recoveries. One-hundred employees have been confirmed to have the virus. Fox Lake Correctional has 48 active cases with five recoveries among inmates while the two positive tests at John C. Burke have recovered.
