Dodge County Parks Now Equipped With Defibrillators

(Juneau) Dodge County parks are now equipped with new life saving equipment thanks to a recent donation from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office. Dodge County Parks Supervisor Jason Roy says Astico Park, Derge Park, Harnischfeger Park and Ledge Park all have defibrillators. The defibrillators will be located in the park offices and also in the Clubhouse at Harnischfeger Park. Along with the machines, all Dodge County Parks staff received training from the sheriff’s office in CPR, Blood Borne Pathogens and Stop the Bleed Training. Roy say the trainings were held at the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office last month. He says this is a great cooperative effort between the sheriff’s office and the parks office to provide an immediate response if a medical crises occurs in one of the county parks. Roy adds the goal is to work together to make the Dodge County park system a safe place to visit and explore.
