(Juneau) For the time being, county travel requests will not be impacted by the coronavirus but employees can opt out if they so choose. The matter was discussed during this week’s Dodge County Board’s Executive Committee meeting. Supervisor Dennis Schmidt questioned if the county should postpone out-of-state travel requests over concerns of the coronavirus. He says it is out of the county’s control but there should be a plan in place in case things get worse. Sheriff Dale Schmidt says he has been monitoring the situation. He says he understands the concern but believes business should go on as normal. The executive committee approved all out-of-state travel request but agreed that county employees can choose not to go if they so choose.
