Dodge County Moves Back Into Critically High COVID Activity Level

(Dodge County) After briefly dropping to “very high” COVID activity level, the state health department lifted Dodge County’s rank to “critically high.” That means the case activity level is growing. Dodge County health officials recorded 40 new COVID cases Wednesday. There were five additional hospitalizations. Active community cases decreased 77 from Tuesday to Wednesday and now stands at 802. The total death count is 246, with 215 confirmed and 31 probable deaths. The seven-day daily average of new cases per 100-thousand people is 76.4. A decrease of three from Tuesday but well above the “tipping point” benchmark health officials classify as 25 cases and above. So far, 49.9-percent of county residents have received at least one dose of the vaccine while 47.3-percent have completed the vaccinations series.
