(Juneau) Due to the COVID-19 health crises, the Dodge County Master Gardener Association will not immediately be offering a walk-in helpline. The “Ask a Master Gardener Helpline” will still be available via phone or email while volunteers will be working from home. The walk-in option may resume at a later time this year, depending upon the development of the “Safer at Home” order. Organizers say that actual samples of specific plants or insect problems are no longer able to be brought into the office for diagnosis. Instead, clients are asked to email clear, good quality digital photos to help with identification. Also, as a result of the pandemic, the Dodge County Master Gardeners monthly meetings as well as their community projects are suspended until further notice. The helpline begins May 5th and goes until September 4th. Experts are available on Tuesday mornings from 9am to noon and Thursday afternoons between 1pm and 4pm. The public can send inquiries via email at [email protected] or by phone at 920-386-3790.
