Dodge County Jobless Numbers Dip Slightly In November

(Dodge County) Jobless claims in the region saw a slight dip in the month of November. The state Department of Workforce Development says the unemployment rate in Dodge County was 2.2-percent in the eleventh month of 2022 which is down from the 2.4-percent the county saw in October.

Last year, the number was two-percent. Dodge County fell four spots in the statewide unemployment ranking to 11th.

Columbia County saw a drop as well with their jobless numbers at 2.3-percent, a decrease of two-tenths of a percent from their November figure. The number last year was 2.1-percent.

Jefferson County’s unemployment rate also reported a two-tenths decrease from October to November at 2.3-percent. In 2021, it was 2.1-percent.

Fond du Lac County went from a 2.4-percent jobless rate in October to 2.2-percent in November.

A year ago, the number was two-percent. Statewide unemployment numbers in November were 3.3-percent, no change from October’s figure.
