(Beaver Dam) The Dodge County Humane Society recently announced that they will be slowly reopening their shelter for visits. The organization says the visits will be by appointment and will begin starting Monday. They say for the safety of the community and their staff, they are limiting adoption hours to Tuesday and Thursday from 3pm to 5:30pm and Saturday from noon to 2:30pm. The Dodge County Humane Society is also looking for daily dog walkers starting Monday. For community members looking to drop off any donations, they are asked to stop by on Tuesday or Thursday from noon to 3pm and call the shelter at 920-386-0000 once in the parking lot. The organization notes that they are not currently accepting donations of towels and blankets but encourage people to hold on to them and consider donating such items after the COVID-19 health crises has passed. They also say that they are not accepting animal surrenders for the time being but people in need of assistance can call the shelter.
