(Juneau) A key Dodge County department head is stepping down. Director of Human Resources Sarah Hinze’s last day on the job is January 14th. She has accepted a position at another public employer. Hinze says the human resources field is an ever changing, and add the additional stresses of the pandemic, she needed to evaluate what is truly important and decided it was time for a new challenge.
She says she will miss all of the hard working and dedicated employees of Dodge County and thanks them for all they do. This August would have been Hinze’s 20th year working for the county. She was promoted to human resources director in 2015.
Dodge County Administrator Jim Mielke says an update on the recruitment process to fill the position will be given to the Human Resources Committee on January 18th. He says first and second round interviews with applicants will soon follow. Those dates are slated for January 25th, 26th, and the 27th. Mielke says the best case scenario is to have a resolution to hire someone in front of the county board at their February meeting. He says the goal is to have whoever is hired start in late March or early April.
