Dodge County Homebuilding Sees Increase Through First Three Months Of The Year

(Dodge County) Dodge County homebuilding saw a strong increase through the first quarter of this year when compared to 2021. According to the Wisconsin Builders Association, there were 47 single-family housing permits pulled between January and March. There were only 24 last year, a nearly 96-percent year-over-year jump.

There were seven additional permits in Columbia County this year, an increase of 36-percent.

Fond du Lac County jumped from 27 permits through the first three months of 2021 to 45 through 2022, a 66-percent climb.

Jefferson County’s single-family housing permits decreased 47-percent from 83 through March last year to 44 this year.

Statewide, permits pulled increased by 11-percent during the same time period last year. This comes after 2021 year-end numbers were down five-percent when compared to 2020.
