Dodge County Health Reports Two Additional COVID Deaths

(Dodge County) Dodge County health officials reported two additional COVID deaths on Wednesday. That brings the total death count to 238 with 209 confirmed with 29 probable deaths. There were 78 new cases recorded Wednesday with active community cases at 943. Nine hospitalizations were reported bringing that number to 1,103 since the pandemic began. The seven-day daily average of new cases per 100-thousand people is 68.7, far above the 25 case benchmark that health officials classify as the “tipping point.” The state health department still lists Dodge County under the “very high” COVID activity level. So far, 48.2-percent of county residents have received at least one dose of the vaccine while 46.1-percent have completed the vaccination series. The Dodge County Health Department was closed yesterday as well as today.
