(Dodge County) Dodge County health officials recorded 89 new COVID cases over the weekend. Active community cases stand at 990, a two-day decrease of 394. There were no new hospitalizations or deaths reported Monday. The total death count stands at 297 with 261 confirmed and 36 probable deaths.
The seven-day daily average of new cases per 100-thousand people also saw a drop from last Friday. It currently is at 218.9, on Friday it was 283.7. However, 25-cases and above is what health officials classify as the “tipping point.”
Dodge County remains the critically high COVID activity level with a growing case trajectory of 22-percent, according to the state health department. So far, 51.7-percent of county residents have received at least one dose of the vaccine while 48.7-percent have completed the vaccination series.
