(Dodge County) Dodge County health officials Monday reported 177 new COVID cases since Friday. That brings the total number of positive community tests since the pandemic began to 13,636. The total number of confirmed cases has nearly reached 16,000, that is because health officials include those incarcerated in Dodge County prisons among the positive test count. Active community cases stand at 837, an increase of 125 since Friday. There were also 10 additional hospitalizations over the weekend, bringing that number to 1,094. There have been 236 total deaths with 207 confirmed and 29 probable deaths. The seven-day daily average of new cases per 100-thousand people is 68.8. Twenty-five cases and above is what health officials classify as the “tipping point.” Dodge County remains in the “very high” COVID activity level, according to the state health department. So far, 48.2-percent of Dodge County residents have received at least one dose of the vaccine while 46-percent have completed the vaccination series.
