(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials reported 1,018 positive coronavirus cases in Friday’s daily update, which is 5.8-percent of the 16,400 tests announced. There are 9,688 active cases in the state, up 184 from Thursday. Active cases make up 20-percent of the nearly 50-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 36-thousand recoveries.
No deaths were reported by state health officials, that number remains unchanged at 878. Deaths accounted for just under two-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 9.2-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 143,868 deaths while worldwide deaths are widely reported to be around 634-thousand.
Dodge County has five deaths on record and 599 cases, an increase of seven from Thursday. The county had 163 negative tests returned for a running total of 14,056. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 53 people while 304 have recovered.
Washington County has 19 deaths on record along with 662 positive tests, a one-day increase of 54 cases.
Fond du Lac County has six deaths and 473 positive tests to date.
Jefferson County has four deaths and 482 cases.
There has been one death in Columbia County where there have been 181 positive cases.
Green Lake County has 49 cases.
