(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 1,328 positive coronavirus cases in Wednesday’s daily update. There are 20,557 active cases in the state, a decrease of 958 from Tuesday. Active cases make up 3.8-percent of the 536-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 510-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded 34 deaths bringing that total to 5,787. Deaths account for 1.1-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.5-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the two-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 425-thousand people who have died in the United States.
Dodge County has experienced 143 deaths, one more than yesterday, and 11,102 cases; a one-day increase of 31 positive tests. The county had 97 negative tests returned for a running total of 38,372. Health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 314 people, an increase of 24 from Tuesday.
Washington County reported two deaths Wednesday for a total of 121 along with 13,155 cases to date; 583 are active cases.
Fond du Lac County has seen 80 deaths with 11,462 positive tests on record; 360 are active cases.
The state says Jefferson County has recorded 70 deaths, an increase of two, and 7,478 cases to date; with 210 active cases.
Columbia County has seen 39 deaths and 4,763 positive tests; there are 171 active cases.
Green Lake County has 15 deaths, one more than on Tuesday, with 1,485 cases on record, 56 cases have been reported in the last two weeks.
