(Dodge County) Dodge County health officials confirmed two COVID deaths Tuesday. That brings the total death count to 289 with 247 confirmed and 36 probable deaths.

There were 77 new cases and eight additional hospitalizations. Active community cases stand at 626, a drop of 552 from last Friday.

The seven-day daily average of new cases per 100-thousand people is now under 100 after reaching an all-time high of 302.4 two weeks ago. Yesterday’s figure was 99.3. However, 25-cases and above is what health officials classify as the “tipping point.”

Dodge County remains in the critically high COVID activity level, according to the state health department, but they do report a decreasing case trajectory of 54-percent.

So far, 51.8-percent of county residents have received at least one dose of the vaccine while 49-percent have completed the vaccination series.
