Dodge County Foster Youth Honored With State Graduates

7/1/17 – A Dodge County foster youth was honored for her academic achievement this past week. Vicki Wieczorek along with 82 foster youth throughout Wisconsin were recognized for their accomplishments. First Lady Tonette Walker was the keynote speaker. She was joined by Department of Children Families Eloise Anderson and State Superintendent Tony Evers at the event that was held on Tuesday. Nationally, only about 54% of foster youth will graduate from high school and only 2% will go onto college. On average foster children will move six times between kindergarten and 12th grade.
