(Juneau) The Dodge County Forage Council is holding its winter meeting February 16. Registration at the County Administration Building in Juneau starts at 10:30 am. The program, which includes presentations on farm succession, utilizing grass forage and silage inoculants, begins at 11 am. There will also be a ‘best forage’ contest that will be judged by peers during lunch break. The categories include dry hay, baleage, haylage, and corn silage. Interested individuals are asked to bring the silage and haylage in 1-gallon zip-lock bags, the baleage and dry hay in garbage bags. Registration forms are on the extension’s website and can be turned in to the Extension office and must be completed by February 12. Cost is $20 per person.
