Dodge County Fairgrounds Hosting Wisconsin Fear Fest

(Beaver Dam) The Dodge County Fairgrounds will host the first annual Wisconsin Fear Fest throughout the month of October. Leading up to Halloween, organizers have built-up the suspense over nine opportunities to scare participants. Each date will include a variety of themed-activities and food. After touring fifty-seven other haunted houses, organizers have hand-picked only the best attractions and improved on them for the Beaver Dam event. Entry into the festival and parking will be free. However, several of the activities will require admission including the haunted houses of which there are two options. The outdoor haunted house, Blackout Biohazard, will be zombie themed. While The 13th Ward Asylum is the indoor haunted house, with a hospital setting. Admission is only $25 to experience both haunted house attractions. To avoid the general admission line, you may purchase a VIP pass for $10 more. The haunted houses are not recommended for children under thirteen years of age. Although there are free entertainment options for the whole family which include a variety of yard games, seasonal photo opportunities, and a scary outdoor movie that will be projected from a local semi-truck. Wisconsin Fear Fest dates include Fridays and Saturdays from October 8th through the 31st, in addition to Halloween night on Sunday, October 31st. The haunted houses are open from 7-11pm; while the other activities will open an hour earlier.
