(Dodge County) This year’s Dodge County Fairest of the Fair will not be crowned at the fairgrounds as has been tradition. Instead, this year’s Fairest will be chosen at the Press Banquet at Bayside Supper Club on July 7th. Program Coordinator Danielle Clark says applications are now being accepted for ambitious, enthusiastic and outgoing individuals who will be age 18 as of January 1, 2022.
Clark, a past Fairest, says the winner will represent the Fair Association in media and promotional events at this year’s county fair and other summer events. That includes being the emcee for main stage and 4-H events, radio interviews and assistance in planning the next Fairest of the Fair contest. This year’s winner will also participate in the 2022 Wisconsin Fairest of Fairs contest at the state Association of Fairs annual convention. Clark says being Fairest is a one-of-a-kind opportunity that provides important life skills, valuable interview experience and self-confidence all while having a great time.
Applications must be submitted by 12am on June 18. Applicants must be available for the Press Banquet on Monday, July 7 and for the Dodge County Fair August 18-22.
