Dodge County Fair Ticket Prices Unchanged

2/9/17 – The Dodge County Fair will not be raising ticket prices for the general public again this year. The board voted at their annual meeting this week to maintain most prices at the level fair goers have seen for the past couple years. Fair Association Treasurer Sharon Keil says entry will once again cost $7 before 2pm and $10 after with season tickets $27. Exhibitor tickets are going up one dollar to $25.  As we reported last week, the fair will now offer three nights of grandstand music acts instead of four. Keil says the fair association is doing the best it can to keep costs low while still offering quality entertainment. She says entertainment has gotten to the price that it is so high that the association either has to raise prices or select bands that have already played the fair. Keil says if this effort does not work out this year, the association may have to consider raising prices though the hope is to keep it at a price everyone can afford. The Badger State Tractor Pullers are slated for opening night Wednesday, followed by classic country act The Oak Ridge Boys on Thursday. Fair Association meeting minutes indicate that the country act Low Cash will be performing on Friday. Saturday will feature a classic rock act that has not been announced. Keil says the rock act will either be signed within the next two weeks or they will go back to the drawing board.
