(Juneau) The Dodge County Courts will be open for in-person hearings starting Monday (June 1st). Court officials say they have met the requirements of the State Supreme Court’s May 22 order and have developed a comprehensive operations plan that provides a safe environment for courthouse visitors and staff. Social distancing will be required along with masks or face shields worn at all times, per the State Supreme Court’s ruling. Visitors are asked to bring their own mask along if they have a hearing scheduled or other businesses to conduct at the courthouse. Due to costs, only a limited supply will be available at the building. Those who are experiencing health issues related to COVID-19 will be asked to not come to the courthouse. While inside the building, people are encouraged to use the sanitizing stations whenever coming into contact with common surfaces. The Dodge County Courts operation plan is available for review on their website www.co.dodge.wi.gov.
