Dodge County Comprehensive Plan Zoning Updated Around Proposed Alliant Park

(Juneau) The Dodge County Comprehensive Plan has been updated to reflect changes that would come with the proposed Alliant Energy Commerce Park. The changes approved by the county board this week re-designate the parcels of land inside the 520-acre business park from single-family residential to industrial and from agricultural to a non-agricultural development. Dodge County Land Resources and Parks Department Director Nate Olson says the changes do not re-zone the parcels but rather amend a land use map within the Comprehensive Plan that designates land use for the future. Olson says the space had been pre-determined for industrial use since 2006 in comprehensive plans for both the township and the county.
