(Juneau) The fall election is right around the corner. Dodge County Clerk Danielle Van Egtern says in-person absentee voting began Tuesday.
“We know everybody has lives…everybody has things going on and if you just don’t think that you can make it to the polls on election day there is that other option of in-person absentee voting,” says Van Egtern. “You would just need to contact your local municipal clerk in order to find the times that they have available. I highly suggest getting out and voting on election day but if you can’t, please get out and do it in-person absentee with your clerk.”
Van Egtern says it is also important to have your photo ID on election day.
“If you don’t have a Wisconsin driver’s license…state ID or one of the other ID options…there is still time to make it to the DMV to get an ID for that day…there’s still time to do that,” says Van Egtern. “I highly encourage everybody to take the time and do it.”
Van Egtern notes that a great resource for residents to check if they are registered to vote or to find their polling place is the my-vote website. Click HERE to visit the my-vote site.
