Dodge County Authorities Investigating Death Connected To Crash

(Juneau) The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that appears to be connected to a motor vehicle crash. A deputy found an unoccupied vehicle in a farm field Friday morning at 6:46am near County Highway DJ and Shady Lane in the Town of Oak Grove. The vehicle sustained minor damage but enough damage to disable it.

Authorities then went to Hustisford, to the home of the registered owner of the vehicle, but there was no answer. A few hours later, around 3:30pm on Friday afternoon, there was a report of an unresponsive male lying on the ground. The body was approximately two-thirds of one mile from the crash scene.

Deputies joined by Clyman/Lowell/Reeseville First Responders and Juneau EMS responded to the scene. The 32-year-old was pronounced dead by the Dodge County Medical Examiner. He was confirmed to be the registered owner of the vehicle involved in the earlier incident.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office.
