(Dodge County) Authorities have identified those involved in two separate motorcycle crashes that occurred on Saturday in Dodge County.
The first accident happened just after 3pm on County Highway GI near North Kohn Road in the township of Lowell. Sheriff’s officials say the bike was heading west on GI when it failed to negotiate a curve and crashed.
The operator, identified as Donald Rennhack of Brandon, was ejected and sustained serious injuries. Law enforcement note that the 45-year-old was not wearing a helmet and prior to being flown from the scene, he was placed under arrest for a misdemeanor OWI offense.
The second crash happened at around 4:30pm on Redwood Road near Jersey Road in the township of Trenton. The motorcycle involved was traveling in a group of four other bikes, eastbound on Redwood Road.
Officials say the speed of the motorcycle was too high to negotiate a curve prior to the intersection and the driver, identified as Hunter Frankenstein of Beaver Dam, locked up the brakes.
The 21-year-old then lost control and was ejected. He was wearing a helmet but did sustain serious injuries.
Both crashes remain under investigation.
