Dodge County ADRC Offering Elder Benefit Specialist Program

(Juneau) Dodge County Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) is reminding citizens that they are open and available to help during the COVID-19 pandemic. The ADRC is a nonprofit organization connecting older adults and adults with disabilities to information, assistance and advocacy. One such resource the ADRC offers is the Elder Benefit Specialist program (EBS) which serves adults 60-years or older who live in Dodge County. The benefit specialists are advocates that receive ongoing training from attorneys who specialize in Elder Law. The EBS’s provide accurate and current information, can advocate on behalf of other parties and explain legal action of public and private benefits. Some such programs they can assist with include Medicare, BadgerCare, SeniorCare, FoodShare, Social Security, Energy Assistance, Subsidized Housing Access, Property Tax Deferral Program and Debt Collection Practices. Dodge County ADRC says they hope everyone is staying safe and taking care of themselves during this challenging time. For information or to make a referral call 920-386-3580 or 800-924-6407.
