DNR: 73 Sturgeon Harvested On Lake Winnebago Sunday

(Winnebago) The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources say 73 sturgeon were harvested on Lake Winnebago Sunday. They note that 26 were adult females, 34 were males, and 13 were juvenile females.

There was one fish over 100 pounds. The largest harvested was a female that weighed 123.6 pounds and measured 76.1 inches long. It was speared by Michael Meetz and registered at the Pipe registration shack.

DNR officials say the Neenah registration station will be closed Monday. The season on the Upriver Lakes was officially closed on Saturday. A total of 285 fish were taken during the season.
