They will “Dig Pink” tonight at the Wayland Academy Fieldhouse as the girls volleyball team hosts Madison Country Day. Both teams are encouraging everyone in in attendance to wear pink in honor of those affected by breast cancer and raise awareness about the cause.
“If we can educate even just one person, we’ve done our job. If people decide to donate on their own to the Side Out Foundation, that’s great.” Wayland Athletic Director Josh Blumenthal told DailyDodge.com. “ Even if not, just letting everyone know about the unfortunate end for some men and women out there and how we are hoping for a better tomorrow, as is the tag line for Side Out Foundation. Then we’ve done our job.”
At the event those in attendance will have the opportunity to help raise funds for the Side Out Foundation and learn more about breast cancer awareness.
The match begins at 6pm and the public is encouraged to come out the Wayland Fieldhouse to support the cause.
