10/12/17 – The Dementia Concerns Coalition will be holding a fundraising walk Saturday morning. The Steppin’ Out For Dementia Awareness Walk will begin at the Waupun Wesley Center located on 114 South Forest Street. Organizer Fawn Senn told us on WBEV’s Community Comment that the money that is raised goes toward several projects and special education awareness. She also says it goes towards Project Life Saver, a program used by Dodge County deputies to track those with a tendency to wander. Registration starts at 8:30am tomorrow. Senn says there is no need to pre-register and walkers can just show up beforehand if they are interested in joining. The walk begins at 10am with either one or two-mile routes available. Attendees will receive a free t-shirt and, after the walk, there will be activities, door prizes, entertainment, a catered lunch provided by Agnesian Healthcare, and a guest speaker.
